Georgie West has been a trained and certified Bat Ambassador with the Kootenay Community Bat Program since 2014. A retired teacher based in Invermere, she is deeply passionate about bat research and enjoys working alongside bat biologists late into the night. She also manages four bat count locations in the Columbia Valley, helping to monitor and protect local bat populations.
